Muslims can now pay their zakat (tithes) through Sarawak Pay.
KUCHING: Muslims in the state can pay their zakat (tithes) through the state’s e-wallet mobile app — Sarawak Pay.
According to an announcement by Sarawak Pay on its Facebook page yesterday, payments can be made now. It encouraged the public to go cashless, especially during the movement control order (MCO) period.
There are three methods for Muslims to pay their zakat.
The first method is by scanning on the ‘Scan & Donate’ code for Tabung Baitumal Sarawak (TBS) provided by Sarawak Pay.
Secondly, they can also choose Sarawak Pay as their mode of payment at the Baitulmal Kamek Tabung Baitumal Sarawak at https://pelanggan.tbs.org.my.
For the third option, they can choose Sarawak Pay as their mode of payment at TBS’ mobile app.
Both Sarawak Pay and Tabung Baitulmal Sarawak’s apps can be downloaded via Google Play (Android) or App Store (Apple).
