Kuching:- A Memorandum of Understanding was signed between Sarawak Multimedia Authority General Manager Dr. Zaidi Bin Razak and Bank Simpanan Nasional (BSN) Chairman Tan Sri Abu Bakar Haji Abdullah. The signing was witnessed by Chief Minister Datuk Amar Abang Johari Tun Openg at the International Digital Economy Sarawak (IDECS) Conference and Expo held from 13th - 15th May, 2018 at the Borneo Convention Centre Kuching.
The MoU formalized collaborations between the two organizations in the areas of providing financial services across Sarawak especially in rural areas.
Both Parties are keen to explore avenues where BSN can complement Sarawak Pay’s operations, by leveraging on BSN’s network of branches, agents, ATMs and CDMs, especially in rural Sarawak. This is to facilitate comprehensive and inclusive participation of users into Sarawak Pay in line with the cashless aspiration of the state.
